Looking for honest, reliable, evidence based advice and support for your family? Look no further, we’ve got it here.
Moms (both new and veteran) all need support. Yes, we are women, and we are strong. But that doesn’t mean we need a shoulder to lean on from time to time. Prudentia Birth provides advice to all moms and their families, no matter your situation or background. I want to help you.
My name is Krista, and I intended on running Prudentia as a local doula service in my under-served, rural area. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to sustain this business as an in-person doula support as I desperately wanted. So I figured, why not shift to a “virtual doula” and continue to help families in our advanced technological age?
I have a passion for educating and supporting women on their motherhood journey. We’re all learning; these babies don’t come with manuals, and we all have questions on how to keep them alive and happy. I have a 4 year old (almost 5, he is not shy to tell you) boy who always keeps me on my toes with persistent questions and rough housing. I also have two teenagers (ages 14 and 15) who keep me on my toes with hormones and growing into young adults (one just started driving!). I have a few hobbies (including art and karate) and am constantly looking things up to see what else I can learn. I recently started getting some credentials going to pursue becoming an IBCLC!
My focus here is to help you feel comfortable, self assured, and loved. I can only give you so much information; what I really hope to accomplish is give you the confidence in the decisions you make for yourself, your children, and your family. I won’t shy away from giving you the realities of birth and breastfeeding, but I also won’t gloss over the absolutely beautiful aspects of motherhood, either. I like to think I’m keepin’ it real here at Prudentia.
Congratulations on your new addition, and welcome to Prudentia!
